I am a professional Barista for Amor Perfecto company and Farmer of my coffee farm Diamante Coffee Farm.

When and how did you decide to pursue a career in coffee?

I started my career in the world of coffee in 2008, thanks to one of my sisters who works for the brand Amor Perfecto Café, a coffee roasting company, in the accounting department, and she was the one who motivated me to work with coffee and become a professional barista.

How did you first decide to compete in a coffee competition?

My first job in the coffee industry was as a roaster and it was there where I found the passion and the desire to learn about the world of barismo and I decided to participate in the barismo competitions.

After winning WBC, do you plan to compete in any other coffee competitions?

I think that competing is a very interesting way to continue interacting with the industry at an international level and to learn more about the coffee industry. I would very much like to compete in a cupping or perhaps an aeropress competition at some point.

Ethiopia, Kenya.

Outside of coffee, what do you do for fun?

I love sports (football).

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In 5 years I see myself much more involved in the coffee industry from the cultivation side and the creation of differentiated coffees for the market and the industry, but also coffees that can work for future baristas who plan to compete.
