Roaster Cleaning Guide

Whether inside or out of a coffee shop, roasting has its maintenance challenges. The high heat from the machine bakes the coffee residue onto various parts of the roaster, which can restrict airflow, disturb overall batch quality and consistency, and pose a safety hazard in a roasting facility.

STEP 1 — Vacuum surfaces prior to applying cleaner in order to remove loose debris.

STEP 2 — Spray on surfaces where buildup occurs.

STEP 3 — Allow cleaner to adhere to surface for up to 5 minutes, depending on the severity of the buildup.

STEP 4 — If necessary, use a metal tool or brush to scrape off remaining oils or residue that has been loosened by the cleaner.

STEP 5 — Wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth.

STEP 6 — Spray all areas where cleaner has been used with clean water and wipe dry.
